Happy New Year
As I (Daniel) sit here at my desk in my basement office, I look back and am amazed at all God has done in the last year. I apologize for not writing more often and will do my best to write more frequently this year. 2025 was a wonderful and busy year. Keep reading to hear about some of the highlights!

Tien Phong Ministries

Tien Phong Ministries' Team of 6                                   Book Display at New Office

In March of 2025, my team and I embarked on a 9 month intensive, inductive Bible study course (IBS). We studied every book of the Bible individually, learning from many different teachers and spending hours together 4-5 days a week. This was not an easy task, but the fruit from it has made it so worth it! One team member, who had previously graduated from an online seminary, said that the IBS helped him to really understand each book of the Bible like never before. Another team member said that she can more easily recognize true and false teachings now. This course really took a toll on me as I had to teach or translate each class from 9pm-1am because of the time difference; yet I see how God sustained me and gave me the strength and energy to keep going. I praise Him for His mercies.

As we move into 2026, we are kickstarting a huge project as a team: the ESV Study Bible. This project has been in the works for several years now, but we just finally got the green light to start translating it. The IBS has really laid a good foundation for us to better understand the Bible and be able to translate it accurately. This will be the very first study Bible translated into Vietnamese and we hope it will bless millions of Vietnamese people around the world and have an impact for generations.

Two other praise reports from 2025 are that we have started renting our very first local ministry office in Ho Chi Minh City and we were able to hire a new office manager to take care of it. Since 2017 we have stored our printed books in people's homes and have had to move things around many times. Thanks to HeartCry's support, we were able to secure a safe and permanent location that will serve as a storehouse, bookstore, ministry office, and conference room to host the pastoral trainings we do in the city. We are so grateful for the Lord's provision in this area.

Ministry Trips

In August, I led a two-day training in Mongolia where men and women from 4 different cities came together to learn more about the Bible.

In September, I traveled to a H'mong tribal village in northern Vietnam and taught for more than 20 hrs in just 3 days. The H'mong people group has the largest Christian population of all the tribes in Vietnam. They first heard the gospel more than 30 years ago before the Vietnam War through a radio program. Despite having many Christians, they have very few resources translated into their native language.

In October, I went on an exploratory trip to a new village in another closed nation in SE Asia. I taught men and women, deacons and pastors who had been persecuted for their faith. They were so hungry for the Word. We ate simple meals of rice and soup. We look forward to returning to this location to give further teachings later this year.

In November, I visited another highly persecuted closed nation in Asia. This place is hostile to the gospel and many have been killed there for their faith. I have been praying to go to this country since 2013 and I praise the Lord for finally opening the door for me to minister there. Another team member and I were able to teach and encourage many ministry leaders. It was amazing to see their love for the Lord, desire to see God transform the church, and passion for preaching the gospel despite all the trials and difficulties they face as Christians there.

Family

One of the biggest highlights from 2025 as a family, was the month-long ministry trip we took to Vietnam in July. It was such a blessing to be able to visit and serve all together. We attended the YWAM staff conference where we were able to reconnect with many friends and ministry leaders from around the country. While in Dalat, Daniel put on a pastoral training for a week and I (Cassandra) was able to meet with many of the YWAM staff girls to encourage and pray with them. We also spent time in Ho Chi Minh City visiting Daniel's family, helping set up Tien Phong Ministry's new office, and visiting many pastors and friends.

Another big undertaking from this past year is that I started homeschooling Lydia and Avigail. It has been an adjustment, but the girls really love learning and it's fun to see them picking up new things, learning to read, and being excited for "school" each day. Lydia started taking a gymnastics class this fall which she really loves and has a natural knack for. Avigail enjoys watching her and practicing all her skills at home as well! Micaiah is 9 months old now and proving to be our most difficult child yet. He has a lot of food sensitivities, eczema that we can't get under control, and still wakes up a lot at night.

Prayer Requests
1. For Daniel's dad who had another stroke in December. He is back home after spending 2 weeks in the hospital. We are thankful that he is still alive and praying that he'd follow the doctor's instructions and be willing to take his medicine.
2. For all the trips Daniel has planned for the coming year - starting with a trip to Vietnam next week.
3. For more monthly supporters for Tien Phong Ministries to help cover the increased costs of hiring new staff and having a local office that needs to be outfitted to fit all of its purposes. (Please let us know if you have any connections for people or churches who might be interested in learning more about this.)
4. That Micaiah's eczema would be healed and for wisdom in knowing how to best care for him in this difficult season.
Thank you to everyone who has continued to support us in so many ways. Your prayers and support mean so much to us. Please let us know how you are doing and how we can be praying for you in this season of your life!

Blessings,
Daniel, Cassandra, Lydia, Avigail & Micaiah
