Transitions
SE Asia, Mexico and finally Home!
These last 3 months have been such a refreshing and fruitful time for me! I have been traveling, speaking in churches, reconnecting with friends and family, as well as volunteering in different YWAM ministries!
In September, I was able to join a 2 week missions trip with an "underground" YWAM medical ship serving people in Indonesia. For security reasons (since Indonesia is a Muslim nation and evangelism is illegal), I am not able to share specific information about the trip or share any pictures. However, it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life! This boat services 5 communities every month, providing continual health care and building friendships with the Muslim people of the area. They have seen several of the boat crew workers and patients get saved in the 3 years they've been working on the river. I was able to help out in all different areas in the clinic each day, my favorite of which was the registration where I got to meet each patient and help locate their records or get them set up as a patient. Then in the afternoons I led the kids ministry on land, getting to implement many of the things I learned from our daily kids ministry in Cebu!
I spent most of the month of October in Mexico, volunteering at the bases in Mazatlan and Durango. It was so good to catch up with all my friends and leaders there and see how much the base and the ministry has expanded and grown over the past 3 years. It felt like home finally getting back to Mexico, a country that will always hold a special place in my heart! I was able to jump right in translating for the DTS (Discipleship Training School) and BSN (Bible School for the Nations) going on at the base right now.
I just got home and will be here for the next 2 months. I'm hoping to spend time with family, catch up with friends and supporters, enjoy the holidays and also work on my financial support - both raising more monthly support and looking for one-time gifts for my upcoming FCM (Foundations of Counseling Ministry School). I will be selling homemade cards, hats and scarves so help me spread the word!
Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this past season of my life - through prayer, support, and/or encouragement. I am so blessed by all of you!!
Blessings,
Cassandra
